So we recently took a couple day trip to an air show had a good time for the most part,,had the joy of a bitting bull ant climb up my pants and bite my leg, and the kids had a bit of issues with turning over in the middle of the night in a sleeping bag and would wake up frustrated, so we have a couple ideas for the future to change the lack of sleep, and a few more things to adjust. we got home teh night before easter and had teh joy of having a family Easter service in our pj's dave led worship and i taught the easter story, then we dyed eggs ( theres no such thing as easter egg dye here i found out as they look at me crazy and pointed me to the food coloring, ) and we had the great grandparents over for afternoon tea.
I am definitely noticing not having other women around to catch up with during the week, so am looking forward to my MIL getting home, another woman around!! and dave is for sure noticing not having other adults around in a work environment but being around kids a lot, which i for sure remember from when i went to full time home status.
As for a little bit more random facts thrown out there that are a little different to what we normally see in the US, here you go: garages on houses are not commonly seen , its generally car ports, who wants to be in a hot garage with no air flow! or a garage door with no roof and open to the back. most business dont have public toilets, but each town has a public park on the main road generally all with public toilet blocks, good cappuccinos are everywhere, gas stations and all , better than Starbucks, and cheaper than a general cappuccino in the states.
The speed limits most highways are 100 or 120, which is 65 to start, but you don't even go 3 kl over or you can get a serious fine and, there are intimidating signs all over the highways like "speeding? we have our eyes on you,!" and its a fair chance they do, with all the traffic cams and speed traps. you can just get your license revoked for not much of anything, or a ticket in the mail is common too. there's also a lot of "take a power nap!" signs, and "tiredness kills", take a power nap! and there's no chance you will touch your phone while driving, if even sitting still at a traffic light and your holding it you can get a $700 ticket if caught. And especially around the holidays they will have road barricades with breathalyzers which you would commonly get one anytime your stopped for anything else from what i understand.
The drinking age is 18 but they have a lower blood alcohol level tolerance.
And as for Christmas and Easter those are major camping holidays, and school is out for them as the school breaks are 3 weeks long out to every 8-10 weeks intervals, and goes year round.. thats it for now, i have kids bouncing around everywhere behind me and having a time of it concentrating. take care all, and enjoy your Easter weekend!

| its maybe just as common or more common for people to not have or use clothes dryers and just hang them out with the intense sun. just like central heat and air may or may not be in a house, they may just do wood stove heat and space heater in teh bathroom or in the bedroom for while your under your duna or duvet at night. but it also doesn't get as cold as the mid west, or central Il. |
