Its been a busy couple of weeks we've been to the animal sanctuary and saw the local animal, been to puffing Billy the steam engine ,the sister and brother-in-law left for home , we had a great visit with them and our new nephew baby Manning .Dave's been working 2 jobs both Construction which is really enjoyed and CAD work. And ive been figuring out driving on this side of the world .so far I've been able to go through four towns alone with the kids in hunt for the last of our gear for camping trips ,and we found our way back each time , we only drove on the wrong side of the road once !in a small town yesterday for those that are wondering ;-) . Haley and I have been enjoying going to the little shops in the towns and the kids enjoyed story hour at the library yesterday as we got our library card
I've enjoyed learning the little quirks of living somewhere new, like the postman doesn't pick up mail only drops off mail . and hotel is another word for pub. And you can sleep with the doors and windows open, and everyone calls you love, except for that punk kid who blocked me in completly when i park because he didn't like how iparked and glared at me out the side window when ihonked horn at him. And as much as I've been told about australia having a British background and the colder side that can carry on through a culture I have been kissed on the cheek by almost everyone I've been introduced to .so there's not a general lack of coldness or physical touch. And its funny how much easier it is to hang laundry up outside to dry somewhere else besides home. I'm being immersed into the metric system and starting to understand it I'm being able to mentally compare with the temperatures and measurement, distance and weight. It started into the fall days you're so pretty cool over night and in the morning and then heats up pretty well in the afternoons probably 40s to 80s F.
And to add to the list of random today we are gearing up for Haley Nate's birthdays! Speaking of the kids they are settling in well Ha and nate are on a bunk bed, liam is on a trundle under the bed and Rohan is in his crib in same room and have all settled into the same room together well. The boys go outside and play and get as dirty as can be there's a porch on three of the four sides of the house they will chase each other around on or play out there in the dirt with toys by themselves for hours. I don't appreciate Liam showering and dirt but I'm glad he can entertain himself! Haley getting back into school so big she looks like she could be 8! Finally got that big old front tooth out of her mouth:-) well I can't say it's all been orderly getting this particular post up, but if I waited to have time for that it would probably be awhile yet. So Thanks for being patient, and a lot of pictures to add just haven't had a chance to get that far yet so we'll be posting them soon. Also we leave on our 3 week trip in about 2 weeks! PS people were not able to post comments last time do some settings, but we think we have that fixed now. let us know if we don't. Love you all!
